Head Coach Ezar

Coach Ezar began martial arts at age of 8 learning Won Hwa Do (Korean Unified Martial Arts), Taekwondo and finally Wushu and TaiChi. Started under guidance of TanSuiTong popularly known as “TsingTongTsai” learning  Yang Style Taichi and began formal Wushu training under China champion ZangXiaoPeng. 

Former member of the Philippine Wushu Team, Coach Ezar was instructed by numerous China Champions and competed in the World Wushu Championships, Asian and South East Asian games.

Coach Ezar specializes in standard IWUF competition TaiJi , Chang Quan (Longfist)and Nan Quan (Southern Fist) forms as well as DuiLian and Traditional Kung Fu hand and weapon forms. He’s been proven to produce both local and international champions from grassroot level in the Philippines and the United States.

Patrick has been a Wushu athlete in the Philippines since 2002 and has won numerous national awards. He was trained under Jearome Calica, Vicky Ting and Tony Candelaria. His specialty is in Northern Style, competition taolu forms, broad sword, straight sword, staff, spear, nun chucks, Taichi, as well as Sanda (sparring). He is also a Taekwondo, Karate and Sikaran (Filipino traditional martial arts) practitioner since 1996. 

Since his retirement as a Wushu athlete in 2008, he focused on teaching Wushu in his home town - Baguio City of the Philippines and founded his own martial arts school. To improve his teaching skills he attended numerous coaching courses from regional, national and international seminars and became a certified coach under Wushu Federation Philippines and the International Wushu Federation IWUF. He is constantly researching and revising his training programs to fit individual athletes' needs according to their different physique, strength and flexibility levels. Under his leadership, his junior and senior level students in the Philippine national team excelled in their techniques and skills and won numerous awards in international Wushu competitions. 

In 2015 Patrick came to the USA to continued his coaching career in Wushu. He produced many Wushu champions and qualified athletes for the US Wushu Team and the US Kung-Fu Team. Aside from coaching students, Patrick is also a Judge in many prestigious Wushu tournaments and became a regular part of the judging panel.

Patrick has 15+ years of Wushu coaching experience. Through his teaching programs, his students has reached their highest potentials and won many national and international competitions both in the Philippines and the U.S.
